Cross-country skiing in Göstling-Hochreit
On the high plateau Hochreit in Göstling an der Ybbs, 39 cross-country ski tracks lead you from farmhouse to farmhouse.
The centre for cross-country skiing “Langlaufzentrum Panoramaloipe-Hochreit” is a paradise for cross-country aficionados who take it slow as well as cross-country experts. Choose between six different tracks and enjoy the beautiful winter landscapes, sun and "natural products from the farm".
So much sunshine that even a cross-country track was named after it!
Hochreit is a picturesque high plateau in Göstling an der Ybbs and usualy spared from the fog in the valley. If there is enough snow, 39 kilometres of trails are prepared.
The Guesthouse Ablass, which is a farm throughout the year, has it's own comfortable snack station where the owners spoil their guests with local and rustic austrian food. Family Zettel also has a ski rental-service, a practice track and winter playground for children, as well as a changing room and watertoilet.

Where to eat:
In the rustic 300-year-old farmhouse of the Zettel family you can indulge in the home-grown products. Since the end of 2022, the family business is a member of the AMA Genuss Region! Enjoy homemade specialties from their own beef, lamb and pork, fresh butter and curd spreads, pickled vegetables and the excellent wood-fired bread. If you prefer it sweet, enjoy farmer's doughnuts and pastries on the sunny outdoor seating.
Cross-country skiing at night:
Every day from 6 pm to 8 pm you can do your rounds (two kilometres classic and skating) at the floodlit ring around the farm Ablass by appointment:

Cross-country skiing in Lassing
If there is enough snow, there is also a three-kilometre-long cross-country skiing trail in Lassing at the foot of the Hochkar.
