Ötscherschutzhaus

Description

The Ötscherschutzhaus (1,418 m) is located directly at the mountain station of the Großer Ötscher double chairlift and is a popular stop for mountain lovers and skiers. The tenants Walter Zeilberger & Hanni Griesser spoil their hut guests with regional delicacies depending on the season. A hearty breakfast is offered for overnight stays (80 beds). Members of alpine clubs enjoy a reduced price.

Located in the Ötscher-Tormäuer Nature Park on the Großer Ötscher (1893 m), the refuge is very popular as a starting point for hikes and paragliding flights. The ÖTK shelter, which was opened in 1887, can be hiked to on many trails; alternatively, the double chairlift Großer Ötscher can be used.

Room reservation by phone or e-mail is absolutely necessary!
A hut sleeping bag is compulsory. Hut sleeping bags can be borrowed for a fee of 5,- € per person/night. A hearty breakfast is offered for the overnight stay!
