Chalet Schober

Chalet Schober belongs to the farm of the same name in Hochreit in Göstling/Ybbs and impresses with its secluded location, which is characterized by numerous hiking opportunities, for example on the Leckermoos high moor or to the Schwarzalmhütte and the Ringkogel.

The chalet, newly built in 2021, combines modernity and tradition. The absolute highlights are probably the barrel sauna and the covered terrace, which offers an impressive panoramic view of the mountains of the Ybbstal Alps. Two covered parking spaces and a lockable storage room for skis and bicycles provide extra comfort. There is enough space for the whole family in three bedrooms. The detailed furnishings, which are strongly characterized by wood, make the chalet particularly homely and an absolute feel-good place.

There is something to discover in the Ybbstal Alps at any time of year. In summer, the nearby Lake Lunz and the clear Ybbs river are perfect for a swim. In winter, guests can make their turns on the Hochkar, Lower Austria's most snow-sure ski area. Cross-country skiers explore the trails on the Hochreit plateau and snowshoe hikers trudge through an almost kitschy winter landscape. The shoulder seasons are perfect for hiking - families can stroll along the Leckermoos, while more demanding hikers can climb the highest mountain in the Mostviertel, the Ötscher, over the Rauhen Kamm. The bad weather program ranges from swimming in the Ybbstaler Solebad to exploring the Haus der Wildnis in Lunz am See and a visit to the cultural town of Waidhofen/Ybbs and its 5-Elements-Museum.
