The cozy Almhaus am Hochbärneck offers space for up to 150 guests. In summer, you can dine in the guest garden with a view of the cows on the adjacent alpine pasture. The landlady serves hearty home cooking. On particularly hot days, the 150-year-old lime tree provides shade. The children's playground, alpine garden and lookout point make the Hochbärneck Almhaus an attractive destination for the whole family.
Bus groups are also welcome at any time at the highest entry point to the Ötscher-Tormäuer Nature Park. There are 5 double rooms and 14 mattress dormitories available for overnight stays. Every 3rd Saturday of the month from May to October there are guided hikes with a nature guide on the subject of "The mountain pasture and its views". The meeting point is at 14:00 at the Almhaus.
PS: In winter, the charming little ski area invites you to enjoy a relaxing day out in the snow.
Opening hours: open all year round
May to October: Monday and Tuesday closed
