Your stay

ATTENTION!

INFO FOR 2026: Overnight stays are not possible in June and July 2026 (roof renovation)! From August 2026 on request!

Chilled drinks are available in the fountain in front of the hut. The snack offer is limited, as owner Daniel Glinserer is not always on site.

The alpine hut on the Herrenalm, which dates back to the Middle Ages, is situated at 1,327 m in a sheltered location in a small basin that can only be reached on foot. As a reward, a rustic, stone-built alpine hut with a steep hipped roof awaits you with drinks and a simple snack.

If you climb a little higher up to the Leonhardikreuz, you can enjoy impressive views of the Ötscher, Dürrenstein and the Lunzer Seental valley. The elongated summit ridge of the Dürrenstein makes the mountain hike an impressive experience thanks to the open alpine landscape. The mattress dormitory in the Herrenalm hut is designed for approx. 20 people and can only be used with your own hut sleeping bag.
