Schauwiese Ablass
Outdoor adventure
Description
The meadows near the Ablass farmhouse are a mosaic of different types of meadow. The spectrum ranges from mountain mowing meadows to wet meadows and stands of moor grass. The vegetation, which is very species-rich with almost 80 plant species, is dominated by moor grass, wood sedge and red fescue. The abundance of flowers is particularly striking when the broad-leaved orchid is in bloom at the end of May.
Such areas have become very rare and are of the highest conservation value.
