Description
The gentian meadow in the Kothberg valley is a biodiversity hotspot. With well over 80 plant species, the very species-rich vegetation is mostly dominated by calcareous bluegrass.
Impressive and endangered flowering plants, including several orchid species and thousands of gentians, can be found here. Especially in early spring and early summer
the area is particularly impressive.
Such areas have become very rare and are of the highest conservation value.
