Description
In the Promau, there is a network of fen areas and various other types of wet meadow. The vegetation, which is very species-rich with almost 80 plant species, is dominated by moor grass and
panicled sedge. Numerous impressive and endangered flowering plants, including a number of orchids, can be found here. The Austrian spurge is found worldwide only between the Ötscher and the Salzkammergut.
Such areas have become very rare and are of the highest conservation value.
