The Gmoa trail, for classic and skating, leads over a long ascent through the forest and back downhill at a rapid pace.
Description
From the trail starting point on the Ötscherwiese, you immediately enter the forest and after a short flat section, the long but never steep ascent through the snow-covered winter landscape begins. At the halfway point of the loop you reach the highest point with a beautiful view - a short flat section follows and then the descent back to the Ötscherwiese (some short, steeper sections). A few more loops on the Ötscherwiese with moderate ups and downs and you are back at the starting point.
Whether classic or skating - around 30 kilometers of perfectly groomed trails await cross-country skiers.
