A journey to the Middle Ages and back to modern times. What sounds like a movie is reality at Rothschild Castle in Waidhofen an der Ybbs. History and cuisine are closely interwoven here. The combination of tradition and modernity is not only reflected in the historic castle, but also in the Schlosswirt. The cuisine offers exciting moments of pleasure. The menu showcases the best of Lower Austrian cuisine - but also takes you out into the wider world. Guests are spoiled for choice - from Mostviertel inn cuisine to international dishes with that certain something extra. The kitchen team is always creating new, unconventional dishes. The use of regional and fresh ingredients is a matter of course. The main components are creamy sheep's cheese, fruit and vegetables from local farms, freshly caught Ybbstal trout and char, as well as game from our own hunt.
