Schwarzalm

Lodge / hut

Description

At 1,536 meters above sea level, the Schwarzalm is the highest alpine hut in the Eisenstraße region of Lower Austria. The hut can be reached from three sides in the Mostviertel Alps: from the Leckermoos high moor in Hochreit, from the village of Lassing near the Sinsamreith farmhouse, or from the Hochkar. The approach can be chosen based on your fitness level, as there are trails of varying difficulty.

Additionally, both short and long circular hikes with summit destinations (e.g., Ringkogel, Hochwurz) can be undertaken starting from the Schwarzalm. During the summer holidays, there is the option to take an alpine taxi up to the Schwarzalm once a week. Upon request, guests can spend the night in the dormitory. Please bring your own sleeping bag.

The hut owners can be reached via WhatsApp at: +43 680/20 87 026.
