Begegnungszone Lunz am See
Description
As part of the construction work on the Haus der Wildnis in the center of the market town of Lunz am See, a meeting zone was created around the parish church.
The newly paved network of paths connects old parts of the community, such as Lüftleck, with more recent buildings such as the two school buildings. The design of the large-format paving stones in light natural and gray tones is somewhat reminiscent of the rocks of the northern Limestone Alps, to which Lunz am See belongs.
The varied planting and simple furnishings of the traffic-calmed zone create several meeting points for outdoor events, cozy places to linger and a spacious parking area for cars, including electric charging stations. A functional fountain will quench the thirst of people and animals in the future.
The VOR bus route 640 in the direction of Waidhofen/Ybbs and bus route 655 in the direction of Scheibbs start from the new town center of Lunz am See. Several businesses in the immediate vicinity can be reached without barriers.
