Details for: E-Bike Tour Schindlhütte

Brief description

Very close to nature and partly also a romantic and varied route in and around the Ötscher-Tormäuer Nature Park. Especially suitable for e-bikes.

Description

One highlight follows the next! The route initially leads slightly uphill from Lackenhof on asphalt to Raneck and then turns into the forest (forest road) and runs downhill for several kilometers with some hairpin bends, all of which are easy to ride curves. Idyllic and pure nature! Once at the bottom, the route continues on asphalt in the Tormäuertal to the eponymous Schindlhütte (currently closed)! After a few kilometers along the rushing stream, there is a 2 km long ascent on asphalt up to Gaming and the famous Charterhouse. Over Pfaffenschlag and along the nostalgic railway of the "Ötscherland Express", the tour continues to Lunz am See, passing the new House of Wilderness. The last section along the Ois and back into Lackenhof promises pure nature again and invites tired legs to wade. Another 4 km slightly uphill back to the starting point with a magnificent view of the Ötscher summit.
