Details for: Lackenhof am Ötscher - Ötscherblick Trail

Brief description

The newest and at the same time most difficult cross-country ski trail in Lackenhof. Rewarded with great views.

Description

The newly built Ötscherblick trail offers cross-country skiing enthusiasts a new experience with a magnificent panoramic view of the Großer Ötscher. The trail lives up to its name. After the first meters identical with the Gmoa loop, this route then heads uphill into the forest - first briefly steeper, then moderately ascending, surrounded by deeply snow-covered idyllic landscape. Before reaching a clearing and the most beautiful view and resting spot of the Ötscher, there is around 1 km of steep and straight uphill skiing.

After a short descent, another uphill section follows to the highest point of the route, before you can pick up nice speed and enjoy skiing back over Raneck to Ötscherwiese. Groomed for classic and skating, physically and technically demanding.
