Details for: Lackenhof am Ötscher - Ötscherblick Trail

Brief description

The newest and at the same time most difficult cross-country ski trail in Lackenhof. Rewarded with great views.

Description

The newly constructed Ötscherblick trail offers cross-country skiing specialists a new cross-country skiing experience with a magnificent panoramic view of the Großer Ötscher. The trail lives up to its name. After the first few meters identical to the Gmoa loop, this loop then turns uphill into the forest - initially steeper, then moderately ascending surrounded by an idyllic landscape covered in deep snow. Before you reach a clearing and the most beautiful view and rest area of the Ötscher, the trail climbs very steeply and straight ahead for almost 1 km.

After a short descent, there is another uphill section to the highest point of the loop before you can pick up the pace and enjoy the run back to the Ötscher meadow via Raneck. Classic and skating trails, demanding in terms of fitness and technique.
