From the starting point in Weitental, first through the idyllic forest to Ötscherwiese. Where the cross-country ski trails start in winter, the trail continues on a small forest path into the forest with moderate ascents and downhill sections on beautiful paths. The eponymous clearing with the Mandlboden hut also impresses with a great view of the Ötscher.
The last section leads downhill through a short section of forest and along the road and through the settlement of Lackenhof back to the starting point.
