Lush forests and lush meadows frame the city of towers, the river finds its way through. Waidhofen an der Ybbs looks back on a proud history that is present in the cityscape. Old and modern are carefully combined here. The proud Rothschild Castle is reminiscent of earlier periods of rule; in 2007 it was brought into the modern age. Since then, thanks to architect Hans Hollein, the cube has been enthroned on the highest tower.
The numerous restaurateurs serve "quality of life to taste". Pleasure in Waidhofen is varied and multicultural - in the city centre there are also a number of different dining directions to try out. As a sweet conclusion after strolling over the inner city pavement, past the shop windows of the small exquisite shops, a visit to one of the inner city coffees is worthwhile. The aroma of pastries is based on traditional recipes and freshly ground beans.
