From the inn "Zum Hammer" along the Schoberbach to the fish ponds, further to the Hintereck farm. From there downhill towards the Graben, past the beautiful farms back to the inn "Zum Hammer".

Route description Around the Schoberberg
From the inn Hammer, after the 2nd bridge, turn left upstream and go uphill to the Kerschbaum estate. Here, a meadow path branches off to the right uphill. After about 500 m, a path also comes from the left where the circle closes. Continue to the right into the marked forest path that leads to a forest road. Along this, it goes above the Schoberbach. After a short time, the stream flows next to the forest road up to Hochreit. There you reach the asphalt road and turn left uphill to the Hintereck farm. From here, a detour to the chapel is worthwhile (about 10 min). In 2014, the chapel was struck by lightning and burned down but was rebuilt.
Turn left before the Hintereck farmhouse. Here you enjoy a wonderful view of nature: the Dürrenstein in all its glory on one side and the Königsberg with Siebenhütten on the other side.
Through the Graben, continue to the asphalt road up to the junction "Ödbauern viewing bench." If time permits, you should go there for about half an hour; the view of Göstling is wonderful.
Then go further downhill, turn left uphill to the farms "Groß Lettenwag" and "Klein Lettenwag" (in grazing season, you may need to cross an electric pasture fence) and continue back to the starting point "Inn Hammer."

b) Exit Ybbs via federal road 25 to Göstling an der Ybbs
From both motorway exits it is about 60 km to Göstling an der Ybbs.
