Description
This varied hike along the historic railway track of the mountain section of the Ybbstalbahn offers entertaining insights into the local industrial culture while simultaneously leading you into a partially untouched natural landscape. You continue enjoyably along the narrow path, bypassing rocky cuts, climbing up to Pfaffenschlag. Past the former Salchen farm, you hike along a cozy forest and meadow path along the Lunzer home mountain (1,004m) and are repeatedly surprised by the legendary panoramic view of the surrounding mountain world. The descent follows a forest road to the marked junction to the Lunzberg cross (750m), the highlight of this hike. Here you are rewarded with a wonderful view of the center of Lunz. At a leisurely pace, you descend back to the village.
