Brief description

Forest, meadows, water, (high) valleys, chapels and churches, places, climbs, descents, asphalt, gravel. All this on this beautiful route between St. Georgen and Ybbsitz.

Description

Always something happening on this route: First, three kilometers climb to the large Kripp, then a short, steep descent including a small uphill into the high valley Prolling. Here you can enjoy the very quiet road away from the hustle and bustle and cycle gently rolling to downhill towards Ybbsitz, which you reach after a short rapid descent. It is worth stopping at the FeRRUM museum and in one of the nice cafes.

Along the small Ybbstalradweg it goes towards Waidhofen until after Gstadt you briefly cycle over the large Ybbstalradweg. You soon leave this again on the left and go uphill to the Pechtholz chapel - small and idyllic located in the forest, the climb up is initially rhythmic, later briefly steep and over gravel.

After a short descent and another small steep uphill, you come downhill back into the high valley Prolling and cycle in the opposite direction to the previous one via the large Kripp - this time uphill the steep part - back to St. Georgen am Reith.
