Description

This contrasting circular tour offers insights into the local cultural landscape and reveals the hidden natural treasures of Lunz am See. The hiking trail quickly leads higher and rewards you on the Rauschmauer (838 m) with magnificent views of the Bodingbachtal valley and the surrounding mountains. On the ridge, a comfortable path leads through a quaint forest with gnarled trees. You walk out of the forest on a gently sloping path. The picturesque landscape of the Ahorn Valley opens up here, with its well-kept farms and magnificent views. In the middle of this valley, you will occasionally come across exotic alpacas that have found their home here. This largely untouched natural landscape is also a breeding ground for the rare black stork. There is also a variety of wild herbs, plants and flowers to discover. On your way back, the railroad adventure trail offers insights into the local industrial culture.
