It doesn't matter whether it's an unforeseen change of plan, an easier journey to and from the hiking destination or simply when you run out of energy while hiking. The Ötscher hiking taxi, as well as the Ybbstal Alps alpine busses in July and August or other taxi companies in the region ensure that mobility is guaranteed while hiking.
The Ötscher hiking taxi
In Lackenhof am Ötscher you have the option of using the hiking taxi. The 3.5 km long bus ride to "Raneck" takes about 10 minutes. From there, the demanding alpine mountain tour starts with exposed climbing passages. From 6:20 a.m. it runs back and forth at regular intervals so that as many hikers as possible have the opportunity to get to their destination more easily.
When: July 1st until October 29th 2023 always on Saturdays, Sundays & public holidays such as August 15th & October 26th.
Time (only in the a.m.): 06:20 / 06:40 / 07:00 / 07:20 / 07:40 / 08:00 / 08:20 / 08:40 / 09:00
