During summerseason we offer you in the Ybbstaler Alps the opportunity to get as close as possible by bus to the most beautiful mountain pastures of the region.
From July to August our hiking buses take you safely up to the most beautiful alpine pastures in the Ybbstaler Alps. From the terminus in the magnificent alpine landscapes you can walk only a short distance to the huts and viewpoints!
Departure: at 8.30 am at office of the Ybbstaler Alpen, Göstling Information Center, Göstling 46.
Return journey: 04:00 pm
Minimum number: 4 persons
Price: 24,- EUR p.p./trip - children up to 5 years free, dog: 10,- EUR (only 1 dog per bus)

TUESDAY: Bus trip to the Schwarzalm between Hochkar and Dürrenstein
The Schwarzalm, at 1,536 metres above sea level, is the highest alpine hut in the Eisenstraße in Lower Austria. The owners Eva and Albert Zettel look after the young cattle of 15 alpine farmers from the region from mid-June to mid-September. You can go on shorter or longer round hikes with summit destinations (e.g. Ringkogel, Hochwurz) starting from the Schwarzalm. On request, up to 20 people can stay overnight in the mattress camp.
THURSDAY: Bus trip to the Ybbstalerhütte (Bärenlacke) on the Dürrenstein
The family-friendly hut of the ÖAV is located at an altitude of 1.343 m and was built in 1923 for the first time. The Dürrenstein massif does not only offer wonderful alpine landscapes, but is above all characterized by karstification. This richness of forms makes the area an ideal destination for day trips as well as for activities lasting several days. 47 beds are available for overnight stays.
FRIDAY: Bus trip to the Siebenhütten at Königsberg
Originally, seven individual alpine huts stood on this open space on the eastern ridge of the Königsberg, hence the name Siebenhütten. In the midst of dense forest, this alpine pasture opens up with a children's playground and a south-facing view. It is a meeting point for hikers, mountain bikers and bon vivants who are looking for cosiness and unspoilt nature. A second stopover at the Königsberg is possible at the Kitzhütte, which can be reached in 1 1/2 hours.
