Route description TUT GUT route 2 Waidhofen/Ybbs

Follow the trail signs for the TUT GUT route 2. 

The hiking trails through the beech forests of the Buchenberg Nature Park with great views of the town Waidhofen an der Ybbs are an experience for all ages with suitable sturdy footwear. Easy to moderate climbs alternate with relaxing flat sections. 

Only conditionally to not suitable for wheelchairs and strollers.

A1 motorway exit Amstetten West, B121 to Waidhofen/Ybbs

Parking

Hammergasse 4, 3340 WY. 10 minutes walk from the parking lot to the Nature Park House. 

Färbergasse, 3340 WY. 10 minutes walk from the parking lot to the Nature Park House (official Nature Park parking) -> access via Weyerer Straße. 

By train to the main train station Waidhofen an der Ybbs - then by bus (stop Gymnasium) or the city train (stop Schillerpark)

Equipment

Hiking boots, water, first aid kit

Safety information

Make sure to wear suitable hiking boots for your excursion. This way you avoid painful blisters and support your foot. With new hiking boots, it is recommended to "break them in" to get your foot used to them.
