Description
Imposing medieval fortified towers, romantic and spacious alleyways form the unique backdrop for an unforgettable stay in Waidhofen an der Ybbs. The town has a long and successful history behind it. An enviably high quality of life and wealth are based on the time when it was still possible to do good business with iron from the Erzberg. If you venture out of the old town onto the hills of the Mostviertel, you will gain an incomparable view of this pearl. Today, the cultural diversity of the town makes Waidhofen the cultural center of the Mostviertel region. Since 2007, Schloss Rothschild, which was remodeled by Prof. Hollein, has been home to an exhibition based around the theme of the 5 elements: Wood, Fire, Earth, Metal and Water.
