Description
Since 2004, the 1st Lower Austrian Schnapsstraße extends along the Panoramic Ridge Trail. It connects the Ybbsitz farmhouses "Siegsonnleiten", "Kesselsonnleiten", "Spiegelbauer", "Jägersonnleiten", "Hochsonnleiten", "Stöckl", and "Grestenberg". Signs point to the farms where you can taste and buy homemade distillates.
Tip: A beautiful viewpoint and photo spot is the Pimas Chapel (parking available at Schwarzenberg No. 19, Kleineck). The Marian Chapel stands on the pilgrimage route from Sonntagberg to Mariazell. It was built in 1968 replacing an old chapel. On Easter Sunday, a field prayer for a good harvest takes place here. On Corpus Christi, the chapel is a station of a procession.
