Brief description

Challenging hillclimb on the Ybbsitz local mountain, rewarded with a beautiful view (including a tower) and a hut stop. 

Description

From the town center in Ybbsitz the route first follows the paved Prochenbergstraße with up to 14% gradient up to the Haselsteiner farm house. After a short flat section, you reach the gravel road which ascends steadily steep (8-12%). Shortly before the last kilometer it gets a bit flatter again before you reach the hut via the last two hairpins. Same way back!!

Directions

From Vienna take A1 to Ybbs exit, then B25 and B22 to Ybbsitz.

From the west take A1 to Oed exit, via Aschbach Markt on B121, via B31 and B22 to Ybbsitz.
