Details for: Mostviertler panoramic high route

Brief description

The name says it all! From the (Ybbs) valley up to the basilica at Sonntagberg and further along the ridge on the panoramic high route. Hosts along the route invite you to regional cuisine.

Description

Amateur cyclists can enjoy the 360° panorama in a place where the Tour of Austria has already stopped several times. The 30 km long tour starts in Waidhofen/Ybbs and leads up to the well-known Sonntagberg pilgrimage basilica (675 m).

After a short photo break, the route continues along the panoramic high trail to St. Leonhard am Walde and then, accompanied by beautiful scenery, rapidly descends back to the Ybbstal metropolis of Waidhofen an der Ybbs.

Despite the short distance, this attractive route has some challenging climbs and magnificent views to offer.
